Some folks with reason ask what can an iPad do?  They ask this because it’s a toy…it cannot do nearly all of the things that a full laptop can do.

However, the ASUS is a full laptop and a tablet. 

So, the better question is:  What can the ASUS Slate do?  And the answer is everything because it is a full fledged computer.

This thing rules over the iPad.

Take a look at this. I just check out the Amazon page for the ASUS slate and this machine receives nearly perfect reviews. Plus, if you are a Windows user (and who isn’t), you don’t need to learn about another operating system. It comes with, and runs just like Windows.

Bottom Line: If you want a tablet that you can actually do something with, that tablet is the ASUS Slate.

I will confess that I am not the best at math and calculating anything can often bring me nothing but a headache.  It doesn’t help that my girlfriend seems to be a minor Einstein with math.

Anyway, now she is trying to figure out a way to quickly explain this to me, but I may just have trumped her.  After checking out the page how do I figure sales tax, it all seems much easier than I though.

You absolutely do not need a calculator to figure out the way mentioned here.  You are basically just taking 10% from items and even I can do that.

So, the next time the little lady pulls out her calculator to figure sales tax, I’ll just go ahead and do it in my head and say, “it’s ok honey, I got that!” 

Of course, like everyone else, I hate taxes but this particular part of figuring out sales tax is pretty easy and it costs much less than the Federal Government’s tax!

While many people have already annointed their teams winners and are getting ready to watch the Superbowl online, their teams still need to get there first. 

We have 4 teams left:  the Jets vs the Steelers and the Bears versus the Packers.

Who will be the two teams left for the Superbowl?

Well, everyone is now claiming that the Packers are unstoppable.  I think that the Bears will have something to say about this and will be able to “contain” the Packers but not stop them entirely.

The unspoken brilliance of the Packers is their defense.  I think that they will stop Jay Cutler and that is why they will win the game.

Jets/Steelers? 

This game is tougher to call.  The Jets are eerily silent this week which gives me pause.  However, I think Big Ben and company will win out and take down the egostical Jets.

Which leaves two teams.

Superbowl 2011 will be the Packers against the Steelers…and the Packers will win!

First, let me state a little grievance about insurance in general.  For the past 10 years, I have nothing happen to my car and have paid about $200 a month for what…nothing?…piece of mind?  So, basically, I have paid $20,000 a year for nothing.  Something is wrong with this picture.

I suppose I will still pay for nothing because you have to but at least I want to pay a little less for insurance.  I know that I pay too much but haven’t had time to get to it until today.  In an article entitled Curbing Car Insurance Costs, I found a list of the top rated auto insurance companies in United States.

Here is my plan with each of these.  I will call them to determine their rates.  Then, I will look for feedback online on that car insurance company.  After all, if they have great rates but will not help you in your time in need, what good are they?

I think that, in the end, I will be able to save about $75 a month or about $1,000 per year.  And, in the end my friends, that could mean some cool purchases next year!!!

My Blog Log is owned by Yahoo and has been around for a while.  I have done some investigation into the other information that is available there and liked many of the things that were available there.

You have feeds on all different types of ideas, products, and many good looking people…though who knows if those are there real photos .  Anyway, setting up a My Blog Log for yourself and your blog is a great way to promote your website.

There are of course many more which I will be getting into but one great way is My Blog Log.  So, when the New Year Hits tomorrow, do yourself a favor and setup a My Blog Log account and find some new friends.  It will take about 3 hours to set up nicely but is really worth it. 

This weekend, like many others, is going to be a technology weekend for me.  First, i am going to check this new ASUS laptop.  After reading The ASUS UL30A-X5 Laptop Rules, I have become inspired.

You guys know inspiration finds me as quickly as I can spot a hot girl, and this ASUS is one mighty great laptop replete with 12 hours of batter life.  Yeah, that’s true, I said.  12 hours, check that out!

You know how many I get now?  1 and that’s if I do nothing and just leave the laptop sitting there.  All laptops have the same insides really, the hard drive, memory, all of that stuff is made by the same folks.

Thus, I’m in it for the long haul…the long batter haul 

If I like this thing, I am gonna buy, then learn how to connect computer to TV so I can watch my new laptop on my new LCD, and I’ll be off and running with a new laptop on my giant LCD TV.

Anyway, so yesterday after the football games, I am thinking that it would be cool to be able to surf the Internet during boring parts of football games.  I could hang out during the game and check stats on my big screen LCD instead of my little laptop screen.

So, laptop in hand I started looking for the best way to connect laptop to LCD TV and found out that it may not be as easy as I thought.  Apparently, there are many ways.  In this article I discovered that there are several ways to accomplish this and did not know which was right for me.

VGA, HDMI, or DVI?  Well, I found this good diagram on what is the difference between dvi and HDMI because apparently DVI and HDMI are the way to go for connecting your laptop–each of these are better than VGA.

Unfortunately, my laptop had no HDMI and I wish it did because the main difference between DVI and HDMI is that HDMI supports sound AND video.  DVI does not.  However, both provide smooth video.

Thus, in the end, I hooked up my laptop via DVI and did sound through the speaker jack into my stereo. 

Now, my laptop is fully connected and I can surf the Internet during ball games

So, as the New Year approaches, I am gonna get fit, and I am gonna use Wii Fit to do it.  I just bought this thing and had no idea that is one of the Top Wii Games available.  It is so much more fun that the gym.

Last year, I tried the gym and I went for 2 weeks.  And that was it!  Do you know how much I paid for the gym?  $50 a month.  Sh*t, that’s one Wii Fit.  For the year, I just saved $500 and the best thing about it…I am now actually working out. 

What do you think of that? 

Oh, I’m still chuggin everything in site but I am trying to make it healthier chuggin.  Wii Fit directs me where I need to be.  Wii Fit tells me what I should eat and what I need to do to get the calories burnt off from what I eat.  It makes the calculations so simple.

I heard someone describe Wii as Wii Tastic because they love this thing so much and I am inclined to agree.

The Wii simply rules with video games and now it is getting me in the best shape of my life!

But do you know what else it is about?  Getting awesome gifts and giving awesome gifts.  There is nothing that makes me happier than buying gifts that I know people will love.  I also buy lots of gifts for myself because I know my family won’t shell out the big bucks for me. 

Thus, I have to do it for myself.  I am looking at two special gifts for myself this year.  I put these two gifts up there as cool Christmas stuff and perhaps the Best Christmas Gifts this year.  They are the:

1. Amazon Kindle:  i will buy the 9.7 inch.  This thing is a revolutionary device and, as an avid reader, I have to get one.
2.  LCD TV.  There are so many great deals right now that Christmas is the must time to buy.

I am living for Christmas because I think that it is simply the best time of the year.  Do you think so too or does it stress you out?
